Today we are introducing a relatively rare mil-spec nylon webbing---mil-w-23223 webbing.

Specs: 1" Wide, 1-1/4 in. Lg slots, 3-3/4 in. Between slots, spacing of slots 5 in. Center to center, snag resistant, Nylon. VII TYPE AND B CLASS

SLOTS are where the webbing is split to allow pass-through of 1" Nylon webbing to make nets, cross-supports, etc.

1.0 inch (25.4 mm) wide integral locking slot nylon webbing having 3000 pounds force (13,345 N) breaking strength.

This webbing has been used typically in construction of cargo net, but usage is not limited to such applications. Military Spec Web Nets are manufactured with Slotted Webbing that certifies to Mil-W-23223 and Mil-W-23223A-1.

Nylon webbing cargo nets are lightweight, flexible and are more compact when compared to wire or manila rope nets.

We have also seen friends making slotted webbing into tool belts with slotted holes for hanging objects such as quick hooks.

Our company also has another slotted webbing made of polyester high tenacity mixed with hemp, which is used to make helideck landing net, as can be seen in the picture below.
